Discover the rich history of Furnace Town on a public archaeology dig. We have several sites that still provide clues to what life was like at Furnace Town over 170 years ago. Pottery, pieces of glass bottles, nails, charcoal, waiting to be found!

Paper Making Class
http://www.furnacetown.orgIn this hands-on class you'll explore the lost art of letterpress printing and hand-typesetting, including type composition, mixing ink, press setup, paper selection and various printing techniques. You'll work on antique equipment in our village print shop. Add new dimension to your print and book works.

Discover the art and beauty of hand-made brooms! At this introductory hand-on workshop, we'll guide you through the history, techniques, tools and equipment of broom making.

Weaving Class
Experience the traditional art of weaving in our Introduction to Weaving Class. This four hour course will cover all the basics of weaving. You'll learn how to plan a project, read a draft, choose appropriate materials and finish your project.
