Julia A. Purnell Museum

Come take a journey through the museum's exhibits to learn the story of Snow Hill and Worcester County. The Purnell Museum is home to over 10,000 pieces that highlight local history, including artwork from the museum's namesake, Julia A. Purnell.

The Julia A. Purnell Museum in Snow Hill displays the memorabilia of William Julius "Judy" Johnson, who enjoyed a professional baseball career from 1918-1939. He played in more than 3,000 professional games, earning recognition from his peers as the all-time best third baseman.
